Every now and then, a test car arrives at the office and divides opinion among the Cars.co.za journalists. This is not one of those times.

With the new BMW M135i, BMW has removed all the character traits that made the M140i so special. Six-cylinder engine? Cheers. Rear-wheel-drive? Also gone. So this is now an all-wheel-drive, 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder hatchback. So, it's basically a Golf R?
