South African motorists can expect further petrol price cuts in June 2025 according to unaudited mid-month data released by the Central Energy Fund (CEF). Take a look at the fuel price forecast below…
With weak international oil prices and a firmer Rand, the short-term fuel price forecast is looking positive with a further round of fuel price cuts expected for June 2025. If realised, this will be the fourth consecutive month of petrol cuts with diesel prices expected to reach a three-year low.
Unaudited mid-month fuel price data released by the CEF is showing modest reductions across the fuel spectrum with the price of Petrol 93 Grade expected to drop by 26 c/l while the price of Petrol 95 Grade could be slashed by 25 c/l.
Diesel prices are set for cuts with the price of 0.05% Sulphur Diesel and 0.005% Sulphur Diesel expected to be cut by 53 c/l. The price of illuminating paraffin could see a cut of 56 c/l.
Official fuel price adjustments will be communicated in early June 2025.
