Description
Rare, distinctive, and built for those who appreciate something truly special, this MINI 1499 GT is not your ordinary MINI. Finished in Midnight Black, this is Unit 1 of only 30 MINI 1499 GT models produced for the South African market, making it an exceptionally rare piece of MINI history.
Inspired by the legendary MINI 1275 GT, the 1499 GT was created as a tribute to MINI's sporting heritage, combining unmistakable styling with an entertaining driving experience. This example features the John Cooper Works styling packag, black 17-inch Track Spoke alloy wheels, distinctive gold 1499 GT detailing, Union Jack mirror covers, panoramic sunroof, and exclusive badging that sets it apart from a standard MINI.
Inside, the special-edition character continues with John Cooper Works sports seats, a perforated leather JCW steering wheel with multifunction controls, Piano Black interior trim, and unique details reflecting its status as one of only 30. The 1499 GT is powered by a lively TwinPower Turbo engine and paired with a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission**, making it just as enjoyable to drive as it is to look at.
With 92,000km on the clock and priced at R259,995, this isn't simply a used MINI—it's an opportunity to own a numbered piece of South African MINI history. For a MINI enthusiast, collector, or someone looking for a vehicle that stands apart from the crowd, Unit 1 of 30 is something genuinely special.
