Nismo Powered Renault Sport Teased

The lads over at Renault Sport Technologies – they do all the performance stuff for Renault have created a Nismo-powered Renault Sport Trophy for its World Series Championship.

The Nismo (Nissan’s performance arm) engine dropped into this Renault race car develops 368 kW and uses a seven-speed sequential gearbox. Add in a carbon monocoque and specifically designed Michelin slick tyres and the Nismo powered Renault Sport Trophy only weighs in at 1 100 kg.

Unfortunately all we’ve been given is this silly teaser pic so we’ll have to wait until the car is unveiled at the Moscow motor show in late August to see what it really looks like. The Renault Sport team have been busy of late as they’ve just come back from setting a new front-wheel drive lap record at the Nurburgring – take a look at the awesome lap here.
