GWM South Africa is launching a Safety Version of the Steed 5 single and double cab that will come fitted with dual airbags and ABS with EBD.
The GWM Steed 5 2.2 MPI 4×2 single and double cab Safety Version will be available from GWM dealerships this month (October 2015.)
In addition to the safety features included, the Steed 5 offers power steering, air-conditioning, alloy wheels, fog lamps, adjustable seat belts, radio with USB support, immobiliser, central locking, lights-on warning, heated rear windows and front cup holders. The GWM Steed 5 2.2 MPI Double Cab Safety Version also comes fitted with electric windows and leather upholstery.
The models are powered by a 2.2-litre petrol engine that offers 78 kW and 190 Nm of torque. Combined fuel consumption is rated at 10.2L/100km for the double cab and 9.7L/100km for the single cab.
The GWM Steed 5 2.2 MPI single cab is sold with a 3-year/100 000km warranty while the double cab version benefits from a 5-year/100 000km warranty. 2-year AA Roadside Assistance is standard.
