Compared to the (first-generation) MG ZS, which currently serves as the opening gambit to the automaker’s local crossover/SUV portfolio, the Pro’s 1.5-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine is equipped with breathing apparatus (in the form of turbocharging). This model’s turbocharged petrol unit produces 125 kW and 275 N.m of torque. (As a reminder, the naturally aspirated 1.5-litre employed by the non-Pro ZS, which we’ve evaluated for a road test in April 2025, churns out 81 kW and 150 N.m.)
