1961 Austin-Healey 3000

A beautifully restored Mk2 3000 Healey in right-hand drive, finished in blue and presenting exactly as one would hope a proper British sports car should.
This is one of the tri-carb cars, and from what we understand just 5 of these had their engines fitted locally. That makes this a particularly interesting Healey, and certainly not one you will see every day. The car retains its original tri-carb engine configuration, with the engine number on record matching the papers.
It has been repainted in its original colour and presents beautifully as a result. The restoration has given the car a fresh, sharp look without losing the character that makes these big Healeys so appealing in the first place. It is an honest, very handsome example of a sought after model.
On the road, the Mk2 3000 remains one of the great old-school British driver’s cars. Manual transmission, strong presence, and that unmistakable Healey character make for a very engaging car to own and use. This one shows 91,416km, with all lights and all gauges in working order, which is always good to see on a classic of this era.
Good Mk2 3000 Healeys are hard to replace, especially when they present this well and have this sort of character. This is a very special car with real presence, and ready to be enjoyed.
