Toyota C-HR Concept shows new compact SUV

Toyota showed the first C-HR Concept back at the Paris motor show in 2014. This is the second incarnation of that concept and shows Toyota’s commitment to producing an al—new compact SUV.

The C-HR will come to life at next year’s Geneva motor show as a full production model that will sit below the RAV4. Toyota believes this second concept is closer to what the eventual production vehicle will look like.

Toyota plans to build this C-HR on the new platform it has just introduced. Already on this platform is the new Prius, revealed just before the Frankfurt show.

The C-HR is said to have a highly rigid body with a low centre of gravity to aid comfort, dynamics and stability.

There are still no engine details on the compact SUV but no doubt they will be announced closer to the production model’s announcement.
