The new Citroen C4 Picasso will usher in a new platform when its launched in France in June 2013. The new Citroen Picasso will also be the first brand model to feature a BlueHDi engine meeting Euro 6 standards and an SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) unit.

The new Citroen C4 Picasso will be available with a range of engines including an internal combustion engine which will deliver less than 100g/km CO2 emissions. The e-HDi 90 Airdream engine mated to the new 6-speed clutchless gearbox emits 98 g/km of CO2 emissions, and has a combined fuel consumption of 3.8 l/100 km, which is a record in its category.
The larger capacity 1.6-litre e-HDI 115 engine is also mated to the same 6-speed clutchless manual transmission, and emits 104g/km and records 3.4 l/100km.
The BlueHDi 150 features a 1.6-litre diesel with NOx emissions using a new SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) emitting 110g/km.
Exterior Design Features
The new Citroen C4 Picasso features a longer wheelbase with a boot capacity of 537-litres or 630-litres if the rear seats are pushed down. The front end is marked with a more assertive engine compartment and slim LED daytime running lights that extend the line of the radiator grille.
The rear end features LED lights in a futuristic 3D effect inspired by the Tubik, Survolt and Revolte concept cars. Creating ample space and a dynamic touch to the rear view is the new enveloping tailgate which also provides easier access to the boot when opened. Finishing off the bold design are slender headlamps and fog lights.
The new Citroen C4 Picasso will be offered in eight optional colours: Shark grey; Aluminium grey’ Hickory brown; Onyx Onyx black; Rubi red, Teles blue and Kyanos blue. It will also be offered in three alloy wheel sizes, 16-inch, 17-inch and 18-inch.
Interior Design Features
Inside, the C4 provides an uncluttered loft style interior ambience with a standard panoramic windscreen and large glass roof that bathe the car in natural light. The C4 comes an exclusive Lounge Pack comprising of front massage seats. These front seats are designed in a graphic effect that give the appearance of a one-piece bench and are available in light-coloured Nappa leather. The door panels with the crossbar feature an original laser engraved pattern.
The new Citroen C4 Picasso is also fitted with a full driving interface featuring an uncluttered dashboard structured around two screens, a 7-inch touchpad and a 12-inch panoramic HD screen which displays essential driving information such as navigation systems or driving aids.
Safety features will include the Active cruise control system, Active driver and passenger front seatbelts with the video LDWS (Lane Departure Warning System). As well as a blind spot monitoring system and Citroen eTouch. The eTouch system ensures that the vehicle can be located promptly and assistance sent out in the event of an incident or accident. The vehicle will also feature an exclusive 360 Vision with four cameras and a rear view or a panoramic front view.
