The Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Hybrid has arrived in South Africa. Here’s how much you can expect to pay, plus some specification details.
Unveiled back in 2025, the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Hybrid has finally reached South African showrooms, taking the LC300 portfolio to six derivatives. Big thanks to the folks over at duoporta.com for alerting us to this range expansion.
This is the first hybrid in the LC300 range and it’s powered by a 3.4-litre twin-turbocharged V6 with a hybrid system. For the engine-code nerds, this is the “1MT-HEV” and it makes a colossal 341 kW and 790 Nm, which is 36 kW and 140 Nm more than the non-hybrid derivatives.
A 10-speed automatic transmission is again on duty. In terms of economy, the claimed combined cycle figure sits at 10 L/100 km, which is a big improvement over the non-hybrid’s 11.6 L/100 km.
Toyota South Africa is offering the Land Cruiser 300 Hybrid in ZX and GR-Sport trim, the latter featuring a sportier exterior. TSAM’s local website had not yet loaded the specifications for the GR-Sport derivative, but we can confirm that the high standard of premium features and comfort has been fitted in the ZX.
It rides on 20-inch wheels wrapped in 265/55R rubber, has adaptive LED headlights, powered tailgate, fold-down-power third row seating, leather trim, heated steering wheel, heated/ventilated front seats, JBL audio and rear-seat entertainment, as well as Toyota’s Safety Sense ADAS.

Every new LC300 HEV comes with a 9-service/ 90 000 km plan and a warranty of 3 years or 100 000 km. Toyota has also included 25GB of complimentary in-car WiFi for 12 months.
