With the recent eruptions from Eyjafjallajokull volcano the world’s media have had their focus on Iceland. One person who has had a particular interest is Swedish journalist Johan Ahlberg. He decided he wanted to see the whole thing for himself, up close, on a KTM 990 bike.
KTM 990 goes where no bike has gone before
After getting in contact with KTM Sweden and after a few phone calls and organizing, he was on a plane to Iceland. Once he landed he armed himself with a KTM 990 Adventure S, courtesy of Iceland’s KTM importer and headed towards the volcano. Thanks to the KTM 990, he was able to go past all the no-go zones and come within a few hundred meters of the volcano. Johan took a number of pictures to document the beauty and power of this volcano.
