Description

Ferrari have always been known to make the fastest supercars and grand tourers on the planet. Their heritage alone speaks for itself, especially their history in Formula 1. However, Ferrari have decided to take a different approach when designing the FF.
The Ferrari FF was introduced in 2011 at the Geneva motorshow as a successor to the 612 Scaglietti in Ferrari’s GT class of vehicles.
Designed by the former design director of Pinninfarina, Lowie Vermeersch and Flavio Manzoni at the Ferrari Styling Centre, the FF’s purpose was to be a practical four-seater grand tourer that you could use as a daily driver but would also be enjoyed as a proper Ferrari performance car. The introduction to their line of “shooting-brake” designed GT cars was something that hasn’t really been seen on a Ferrari. The benefits of the design is the accessibility to the trunk as well as the amount of storage space it contains. It also means that passengers in the back seats will be a bit more comfortable as the rear section of the FF doesn’t compromise head room.

This is also Ferrari’s first all-wheel drive system fitted to their road cars, which is rather ideal if you will be traveling in weather conditions that you won’t usually find a Ferrari in.
The FF features the following performance features:
4RM all-wheel drive system
5L naturally aspirated V12 producing 651 BHP
7 speed dual clutch F1 transmission with a paddle shift system which shares similar characteristics to the California, 458 Italia and the F12berlinetta
The combination of these features will get the Ferrari FF from zero to 100km/h in a rapid 3.5 seconds and will get to its 340km/h top speed. Along with these performance features, the FF also has a decent carbon ceramic braking system which enhances stopping power and increases longevity compared to a regular braking system.
