2011 Porsche Boxster

The 987 Boxster Spyder was unveiled at the Los Angeles Motor Show in 2009. It was almost 100kgs lighter than a Boxster S. This was achieved by the elimination of the air conditioning, the radio and PCM unit, door handles, storage compartments, cup holders and large LED light modules on the front fascia. The conventional soft top mechanism was also omitted. Further weight was saved by using aluminum doors and rear deck lid and light weight 19 inch rims. All South African cars were equipped with air conditioner and radio.

The Spyder has a firmer suspension and is almost 25 mm lower than the standard Boxster S. A manual Canvas top, carbon fiber bucket seats and two distinctive humps on the rear deck lid are further distinguishing features. A 6-speed manual gearbox was standard, with the Porsche 7-speed PDK available as an option. The car is powered by the 6 cylinder boxer engine with 239kW or 320hp.

This specific car is a 2011 model with 46 500kms on from new with a full service history from Porsche SA. It has a host of standard and factory fitted extras including:
