About Hyundai
Hyundai is part of a large corporation which began as an engineering and construction company in South Korea. Hyundai Motors, which was established in 1967 by Chung Ju-Yung, has grown to be the 4th largest automobile manufacturer in the world. In the early stages of production Hyundai relied on outside manufacturers and designers for the production of its automobiles, including; Ford Motor Company, Italdesign and Mitsubishi Motors. As Hyundai’s influence grew they began to export to many countries around the world and their vehicles gained popularity, mainly due to their cheap price. Hyundai cars are now sold in 193 countries around the world and the company has grown to the second largest corporation in South Korea.
As one of the newer brands of automobile manufacturers in the world today, Hyundai has grown from strength to strength and is now competing with the biggest names in the business.
