New Ford B-Max heading for production

The new Ford B-Max will be introduced to the world at the Geneva Motor Show in March before the car goes on sale in Europe later in the year. The B-Max is dubbed as a smart, compact and city-friendly car with a big emphasis on space.

New Ford B-Max is stylish and practical

The concept for the B-Max was revealed last year at the Geneva Motor Show, with the forthcoming show unveiling the production version. Ford have created a car which they believe will cater to a new buyer who is looking for a compact city car, but with many of the features usually reserved for larger vehicles. One such feature is a new approach to door construction, with wide-open access for the drivers, the passengers and their luggage. This wide-access was created by having the centre pillars integrated into the doors. The new B-Max is looking at having class leading load space, thanks in part to flexible seating.

Under the hood the new Ford B-Max will be powered by a new 1.0 litre EcoBoost petrol engine, as well as Duratorq TDCi diesel options. As information becomes available regarding a South African release, we will let you know.
