The Land Rover Defender Limited Edition

The Land Rover Defender Limited Edition
June seems to be the month of special editions, with Fiat and Citroen already releasing limited editions of the 500 and DS3 respectively. It makes sense then that it is the turn of the 4x4 powerhouse Land Rover to bring us the 2011 Defender Limited Edition .South African drivers love off-road and 4x4 vehicles, so the Limited Edition Defender should be an easy sale.

The 2011 Land Rover Limited Edition is available in either Zermatt Silver or Nara bronze with Santorini black finish on the roof and wheel arches. For the first time the Defender will be available in 16 inch ‘Saw Tooth’ alloy wheels, which will create “a sense of raw utilitarianism”, according to Land Rover. Which has to rank as one of the most “creative” descriptions of a vehicles wheels that there has ever been.

Inside you have the colour options of either Ebony, to compliment the Zermatt Silver exterior, or a 2 tone Ebony and Almond option, to compliment the Nara Bronze exterior. The leather side-bolstered seats are added to once again increase the overall styling of the vehicle.

The engine in the Land Rover Defender Limited Edition is a 2.4 common-rail diesel which produces 360Nm of torque. The Defender has been engineered focusing specifically on performance, fuel efficiency and reducing the exhaust emissions, emphasizing Land Rover’s commitment to sustainability.

The Land Rover Defender Limited Edition is currently on sale for R439 995.
