In terms of technology, the new Ford Fiesta features the Ford SYNC in-car connectivity system that will allow drivers to voice-activate phone calls and music selection from devices connected via Bluetooth or USB. The system also includes Emergency Assist which connects the vehicle to relevant emergency services in the event of an accident.

Ford MyKey, a segment-first, encourages safer driving and allows owners to configure maximum speed and audio volume limits. The system also mutes the audio until seat belts are fastened and ensures that driver aids, safety systems and alerts cannot be deactivated when used.
