Hyundai debut the 2011 Elantra

Hyundai debut the 2011 Elantra
The LA Auto Show brings us yet another debut, this time from Hyundai in the form of the 2011 Elantra. The 2011 Elantra is the 5th incarnation of the popular compact sedan and Hyundai are making it very difficult for their competitors to keep up.

The most impressive statistic being that the 2011 Hyundai Elantra has the best in-class standard fuel economy, an improvement of 18% over the previous model. The fuel economy clocks in at 29mpg city and 40mpg highway, which makes it better than the 2010 Corolla, the 2011 Honda Civic and the 2011 Ford Focus. Added to this is the fact that the 2011 Elantra is cheaper than the Cruze and Focus, two of its main competitors.

The 2011 Hyundai Elantra comes standard with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission and a 1.8 litre Nu engine. The vehicle arrives in United States dealerships before the end of the year and we await further information on a local release date and pricing.
