Behold the BMW Zagato Coupe
The BMW Zagato coupe will be unveiled at the Concorso dEleganza Villa dEste. The car was designed and created as a collaboration between BMW and Zagato but is not the first time the German automaker has teamed up with an Italian designer for one of their vehicles. BMW has previously worked with Italian designers in the creation of a 328 coupe, all the way back in 1939, as well as a number of times after that as well.

The brief for the car was that it was to be a Vmax concept, a road-legal car, capable of high speeds while still maintaining the necessary crash-related stipulations. The BMW Zagato coupe comes with an extremely long bonnet, double bubble roof and muscular rear.

The interior design creates a feeling of sporting elegance. The seats are done in light and dark grey with red decorative stitching in the instrument panels, doors and seats. The seats also have a ‘z’ embroidered into them. There are horizontal lines in the instrument panel and doors which culminate in an upward curve, which BMW mention creates an extra sporting effect!

There is unfortunately no mention of the engine the BMW Zagato coupe will have but there will be 19 inch light-alloy wheels with 5-spoke design and an exclusive exterior paint finish from Rosso Vivace.
